The Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the Center for Armenian Studies of the Dearborn branch of the University of Michigan are presenting the conference "Soviet Experience and Heritage in Armenia - 2", which will take place on June 13-15, 2023, in Yerevan (the first part of the conference was held in October 2022, at the Center for Armenian Studies at the of the University of Michigan-Dearborn).
The conference will focus on the influence of the seventy years (1920-1991) of the Soviet regime in Armenia, including, but not limited to the reflections of the Soviet policy, political violence, Soviet and post-Soviet urbanization and de-urbanization, language and speech, art and architecture.
The conference will be held in the meeting hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (24 Marshal Baghramyan ave., Yerevan 0019). The conference is open to the public.
