This lecture will be focused on the archeoseismicity and palaeoseismology (Iran, Italia and France). The relationship between earthquakes and tectonics (including plate tectonics) will be presented as well as the use of archaeology to characterize past earthquakes. Palaeoseismicity will be also investigated in addition of the archaeological data to understand and define the landscape changes.
